What’s New With the Indian Motorcycle® 2022 Lineup

Why the Changes?

There are a few significant changes and additions to the current lineup, but it’s important to understand exactly why these changes and additions have been made. The long and short of it is that the most important component of a functioning motorcycle has made it clear these changes are needed: you. Indian Motorcycle has reviewed, tested, and acted on customer feedback to ensure a better, safer, and more efficient riding experience because the rider’s comfort and safety are the top priority.

Ride Command®

Ride Command® is a system on your bike that can connect to the Ride Command app on your phone, allowing for easy connection and helping you understand your bike’s functions and status a bit easier. There are GPS, navigation, call, and entertainment aspects, but the 2022 option adds a speed overlay. This way you can see the current legal speed limit of the road you’re on during your drive, providing multiple important data points on a single screen. The system now also boots up faster and more Bluetooth compatibility features than ever before.

Traction Control on Challenger Models

Indian Motorcycle has implemented a newly retuned traction control system for all 2022 Challenger models. This is one of many changes that rider feedback suggested, as the previous system could feel a little rough with traction control activated. With the retuned version, traction control now provides a much smoother ride once activated.

New Colors & Accessories

Indian Motorcycle knows that style matters, too, which is why several of their motorcycle series have new colors and paint jobs available for the 2022 models. For example, the Chieftain® Dark Horse® model can now come in Quartz Gray while the Challenger Limited comes in Spirit Blue over Black Metallic.

To go with your new paint jobs you can buy the Spirit Lake Luggage Collection, including a rack bag, day bag, and touring bag to keep you stocked up and fresh on any ride. New saddlebag lights seamlessly integrate into existing LED lighting as well.
